The main campus of Colorado State University is covered in lush greenery and modern-looking buildings. This 586-acre campus may seem overwhelming at first, but there are several spots that make for a great place to take a break. Here are a few of the lesser-known study spots around campus.
Behavioral Sciences Building rooftop balcony
Imagine studying in a location where glistening peaks of Rocky Mountain National Park can be seen in the distance. If you’re looking for an elevated view, head up to the fourth floor patio on top of the Behavioral Sciences Building. Overlooking stellar views of Moby Arena, the foothills and the Aggie A, this spot provides several tables and chairs that make for a productive study area.
Benches at the Lagoon
On busy days when you finally have time to relax on campus, visit the east side of the Lagoon. Located just below the newly renovated Lory Student Center, this spot provides secluded benches with vast views of the Intramural fields. This spot will allow you to focus and clear your mind while taking in a view of the Great Green.
The Pavilion at Laurel Village
If you’re looking for a modern study spot, visit the Pavilion at Laurel Village. A living green wall, hammocks and glass garage doors are only a few things that contribute to the sustainable aesthetic of this building, as it was the first platinum-certified building at CSU.
Computer Sciences Building patio
Those who want to be right in the middle of the hustle-and-bustle of campus life can visit the second floor deck of the Computer Sciences Building. Dual-story windows and simple furniture on the inside provide a clean study area. Step outside to the patio and see views of the Plaza in the center of main campus.
